AYURVEDIC HEALTH TIPS


Ayurvedic Health Tips for Hair, Skin, Eye and Blood Pressure

Hair Loss
1.     A high protein and an iron rich diet is recommended for hair loss. An adequate intake of raw vegetables, fresh fruits, salads, green leafy vegetables should be included in the diet on a regular basis.
2.     Regularly do massage on the crown area of the head with Ayurvedic Medicated oil and use Ayurvedic Shampoos .
3.     The person should maintain a regular bowel movement everyday. In case of constipation, a mild natural laxative can be taken. Triphala is very useful.
4.     Rub your scalp after washing the hair. It increases the blood circulation, and activates the sebaceous glands.
5.     Washing the hair with a paste of cooked green gram and fenugreek (methi) two to three times a week, is also good.
6.     Applying juice of green coriander leaves on the head is also good.
Blood Pressure
1.     Balance the three energy types or doshas, Vata, Kapha and Pitta. Ayurvedic practitioners balance these energy types with nutrition, breathing exercises, yoga, mantra meditation, herbal remedies and medicines.
2.     Reduce or eliminate meat, salt, eggs and fats. Follow a vegetarian diet that includes garlic (lahsun), celery (ajmod) and leafy vegetables.
3.     First thing in the morning, 3 pieces of Whole Black Pepper swallow it regularly.
4.     take mixture of Ginger juice (1 sp) and Lemon juice (1sp) one hour before food in the morning and night.
5.     Soak 32 dry grapes in drinking water over night. Early in the morning eat the grapes one by one slowly and drink the water.
Skin problems
1.     Gently massage affected areas with Ghee regularly then after 2-3 hours take a shower or sleep over with it at night. Take a shower only with Sandalwood soap or Neem Soap only.
2.     Oiling and massaging of scalp is very beneficial
3.     Stay hydrated throughout the day and give preference to warm liquids, such as herbal tea. Vata is dry and cold by nature so your skin will stay younger looking longer, if your keep these two qualities at bay.
4.     Both traditional and Ayurvedic medicine agree that adding seeds and nuts into your diet will improve the condition of your skin.
Eye problems
1.     Massaging Castor oil on your feet regularly not only improves your vision but may be help you reduce numbers on the glasses.
2.     Start the day by splashing some cool water on the eyes. One can also retain some cool water in the mouth while rinsing the eyes and blinking. This helps to keep Pitta in balance throughout the head region.
3.     Gentle sun gazing can improve eyesight. One can softly gaze at the sun starting with 10 seconds, and increasing time by 10 second increments daily.
