Ayurvedic treatment for Vomiting:

According to Ayurveda, most of the types of vomiting are the results of irritation of the stomach wall by ‘Vata’, ‘Pitta’ and ‘Kapha’ doshas. Hence for treating all types, ‘Langhan’ (Fasting) should be done first, except in ‘Vataja’ type. If the patient is strong enough, then he should drink warm water mixed with Ralk salt powder in proper quantity up to full of his stomach and then he should try to vomiting all the contents out from his stomach through simple irritation in his throat by his own finger. Through this simple procedure of stomach wash, all the ‘Ama’ (undigested and toxic food material) and vitiated doshas in the stomach throw out. After the stomach wash in such manner, the force and irritation of the disease has been tremendously cut off. One should drink around half cup of decoction of Dry ginger, Coriander seeds, Musta roots (Cyprus rotundus) and Khus root(Vetiveria Zixznoides) after every half hour. One should also chew small piece of ginger, as it helps to improve appetite. For Vataja type, patient is advised to take ‘Laja Manda’ (Boil the mixture of puffed rice, cardamom, clove, sugar and water. Allow it to enough cool as it should be take easily). One can take coconut water sip by sip and can take puffed jowar as well.
